The Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK) is an independent association that contributes to improving the quality of education in associate degree programs by conducting accreditation, evaluation, and information studies. MEDEK's applications for the accreditation of associate degree programs for the first time in Turkey were received in 2024, and the programs that qualified for accreditation were announced in January 2025.
Başkent University Anadolu Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School Machinery and Metal Technologies Department Machinery Program has applied for MEDEK 2024 accreditation. It has become one of the 211 programs in 35 universities accredited throughout Turkey.
Başkent University Anatolian Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School Machinery and Metal Technologies Department Machinery Program Accreditation Certificate, which has earned accreditation, was presented at the Senate Hall of Başkent University on Friday, 17/01/2025, with the attendance of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Rector and MEDEK Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Mehmet SARIBIYIK, Başkent University Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan ÖZKARDEŞ, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Füsun EYİDOĞAN, Prof. Dr. Özcan YAĞCI, Prof. Dr. Erdem KIRKBEŞOĞLU, Anadolu OSB Vocational School Director Dr. Levent ÇOLAK, Assistant Director Lect. Yalım GÜLTEKİN, Machinery Program Head Lect. Ülüver BOZKURT and Machinery Program member Lect. Dr. Cankız Gizem DELİBALTA.
With the MEDEK Accreditation, the TYÇ label will be added to our students' diplomas. The diplomas of Başkent University Anatolian Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School Machinery and Metal Technologies Department Machinery Program graduates are valid worldwide.
